Amazon Introduces A Hassle-Free Cloud Gaming Service - Luna

The multi-billion dollar giant, Amazon has brought delightful news for all the gamers. Read on to know more.

Amazon’s newest gift is for the gaming community out there. The tech company recently announced a multi-benefit cloud gaming service called Luna, entering the gaming ring alongside Google Stadia and Microsoft xCloud.

For those who are new to the terminology, 'Cloud Gaming' is a service that allows users to play video games on their pre-owned devices, without having to buy gaming consoles and setups. It is hassle free in terms of handling as well, since games remain stored on the cloud and don’t need hours of downloading and installing.

Luna enables the users to play games over a wide array of devices, ranging from Mac, PC, Fire TV, iPad and iPhone and Amazon is expected to drop a version that works on Android devices in the coming months. The multi-billion dollar e-commerce company has partnered with Ubisoft to release a channel, enriched with the best of Ubisoft’s homegrown games like Far Cry 6 and Assassins Creed Valhalla, in 4K clarity. Luna also comes with Twitch integration, allowing endless game streams.

Packed with over 100 additional games like Resident Evil 7, Control, Panzer Dragoon, A Plague Tale: Innocence, The Surge 2, Yooka-Laylee, GRID, Abzu; Amazon says that they will continue to add to the game volume from time to time. Compatible with Xbox One controller, DualShock 4 controller, and the basic set-up of a mouse and a keyboard, Amazon has also introduced a specific Luna Controller for more efficiency and easier handling.

The controller directly connects to the Amazon’s custom game servers when accessing Luna, hence reducing any kind of waiting time that any other controller would take. The controller comes with an Alexa button, which makes the game selection and playing much more effortless.
