Reebok Pays Homage To The LGBTQ Community
Reebok as a brand has always prided itself on it's strong values, here's another ode to the LGBTQ+ community with it's recent Pride Month drop.
Reebok as a brand has always believed in celebrating a democratic heritage and inclusivity, continually pushing boundaries and defying norms. “Since the beginning, Reebok has had a lifelong mission to transform the lives of others through fitness and wellness,” said Matt Blonder, VP of Digital Brand Commerce at Reebok and Co-Chair of the brand’s Colorful Soles LGBTQ+ employee resource group.
Reebok has given its classics a touch of the rainbow to celebrate Pride Month.
A few iconic silhouettes such as the Club C 85, Zig Kinetica and the Instapump Fury are getting renditions in vibrant pride colors.
In India, the brand has taken a slightly different approach by calling the drop “All Types of Love” and started a “Proud Notes” campaign. The campaign provides a platform for authentic, passionate individuals to share their unique stories and journeys as they are celebrated through “Proud Notes” written by loved ones.
Club C-85: This silhouette is one of the most iconic from the footwear brand. The unisex shoe is seared in pride colors and features an empowering message on the tongue. This is my all-time favourite Reebok silhouette for the simplicity and versatility this shoe has.
Instapump Fury: These feature a colorful upper. It comes with a neoprene body with a white pump button, giving a touch of extra style and the vibrant colours give the shoe a psychedelic touch. The pride inspired label comes with an “All Types of Love” message.
Zig Kinetica: The energy-filled silhouette features colorful accents inspired by the LGBTQ community. The colors give a futuristic look to the already different looking shoe. A message is included on the insole of the shoe.
Freestyle Hi: a classic white high sneaker, the Reebok flag is replaced with the LGBTQ flag along with rainbow stitching on the sides giving the look of clean sneaker with a touch of pride.
