Jonah Hill's Adidas Collaboration Is Going To Be A Treat
When Jonah Hill announces his collaboration with Adidas officially, it was safe to say everyone was as excited as could be to see what the actor would contribute to the brand. Several people expected a capsule collection at best but instead received an ad campaign dubbed “Change Is A Team Sport”. The campaign has been directed by Hill himself and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the legendary Superstar shell-toe silhouette.
The collaboration also gave way to three new sneakers: two colourways of the Adidas Samba and a Superstar.
The Superstars in the collection are an all-white sneaker with the exception of the graphics and a black stripe that can be seen running down from the moustache to the midsole. The shoes are also puffier compared to the original Superstar silhouette.
The stitch and turn construction of the three stripes and the eyestay sets this collaboration apart. On the heel the word “Superstar” is embroidered in a graffiti-like font. There is also a “JH” that has been embroidered on the moustache in the same font.
The Samba as mentioned previously will be available in two new colourways: Dark Burgundy and Deep Green. Both the colourways are finished in leather uppers with suede overlays. The shoes also feature the letter “Samba” on the heels and the “JH” initials in the same embroidered graffiti-like font. The translucent midsole looks stunning on both the colourways. A lion graphic can also be seen on the insoles.
