Edison Chen Teases The Nike x CLOT Air Max 1
The CLOT and Juice Store co-founder teased two new Air Max 1's on his official Instagram page.
CLOT co-founder Edison Chen took to Instagram to tease what could be a possible Nike and CLOT collaboration on the Air Max 1. This could be on the occasion of celebrating 15 years of Nike’s association with CLOT.
Chen posted a picture on his Instagram of what looks like a corduroy fabric shoe captioned "After Eight Mints in Spring". This succeeded his previous post of what seems to be another colourway of the Air Max 1, captioned "Wasted Spring", sending fans into a frenzy waiting for the collab to officially drop.
Both shoes seem to have been somewhat influenced by Sean Wotherspoon's style of using corduroy material on sneakers - initially popularised with the Air Max 97/1 and which later also became his signature statement.
The first rendition is that of the sneaker posted most recently by Chen, which includes the Mint Green Air Max 1 featuring different coloured swooshes on both shoes and a floral print sockliner, titled "After Eight Mints in Spring".
The second picture is a pair he posted a month back, which is a blue corduroy Air Max 1 with a orange toned, floral sockliner captioned "Wasted Spring".
As per what we can make out, there's a high possibility that these will have tear-away uppers which will reveal a whole different side to the shoe, once worn. If and when the collaboration truly does see the light of day, trust us to keep you in the loop.
