Air Jordan 5 Celebrates 30th Anniversary with New "Purple Grape" Rendition
The popular Jordan 5 colourway from the 90's is back for a momentous occasion.
Celebrating the 30th-anniversary of the famous Jordan 5 silhouette, the brand has released a brand new colourway for the same called the “Purple Grape aka Alternate Grape”. This new rendition will accompany several other releases in the coming months to mark the momentous occasion of the brands anniversary.
The colourway which originally debuted in 1990, and most recently made a comeback in 2018 was dubbed the “Fresh Prince” due to it famously being worn by Will Smith on his hit 90s TV show “The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air”.
The new release sees the upper of the sneaker seared in purple suede. The side, midfoot and collar can be seen sporting a mixed material treatment. The mint green tone for the Jumpman logo on the tongue, lace toggles and midsole adds a "fresh" pop of colour. The icy blue colour on the midsole also creates a nice contrast to the overall colour palette.
The colourway will see an India release on Nike SNKRS.
