Ritviz and Tinder India Release India's First LGBTQ+ Pride Anthem
The electronic music producer and dating app come together to celebrate Pride amidst a pandemic.
It’s lockdown season. Among many other celebrations that have had to take a back seat or be toned down, Pride Month has suffered the same fate.
In order to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, Tinder India and Ritviz have come together to release a brand new track called “Raahi" (meaning Passerby or Traveller) to pay a tribute to the community and raise their spirits in lieu of the annual celebration being cancelled. The track is produced by and features vocals by Ritviz.
The first line of the song “Hausla, Chhodo na Hausla” urges people not to lose hope for the long journey ahead. It is exactly the kind of message people need to hear right now in these trying times.
The video beautifully captures life amidst the lockdown and how people from the community have been looking out for and taking care of each other even though they are miles apart. It showcases the different ways people have been celebrating the occasion from their homes and ends with several people proudly waving the pride flag from their balconies giving out a message of love and unity.
