Supreme Collaborates with Takashi Murakami for Covid-19 Relief
Supreme has raised over $1 Million through it's most recent drop for HELPUSA.
Last month, Supreme tapped Pop artist Takashi Murakami to create a T-shirt benefitting coronavirus relief. Now the results are in, and the collab has reportedly raised a whopping $1 million.
One of Supreme’s signature wares is a T-shirt with the label’s distinct box logo across the chest. Murakami took this blueprint and gave the geometric field a makeover, using his famous cartoon-like, vibrantly colored flower and skull motifs to create a limited-edition tee that sold out within minutes.
This isn't the first time Supreme has raised money for Charity through a limited edition Box Logo. In 2011, Supreme did a similar drop for raising funds for the Earthquake in Japan.
In the turbulent times that we're going through, initiatives like these are a shot in the arm for relief foundations across the globe and it's great to see brands step up to the plate.
