Huemn drops everyday staples
Shyma Shetty, the co-founder of Huemn believes that the products they create are inspired by human stories. Their newest drop that launched this week is an extension of this philosophy. Through one of their new releases, the Jigsaw T-shirt, Huemn begin to explore the idea that as humans we are all intrinsically unique and made up of our own experiences all to come together to fit perfectly as one. The same way a jigsaw pieces together. This one size fits all cotton T-shirt is modelled after their signature oversized fit and features jigsaw block detailing on the front and back.
The second iteration of the DNA jean is also available in the drop and reimagines the humble jean by layering two-tone deconstructed panels together. The jeans are made of 100% cotton and feature a handmade Gorilla insignia tab on back with hand-stitched seam detail and embroidered logo.
The Nike Air Max 97
In recent years, Nike has drawn a lot of influence from the 1990s. The iconic sneakers were first released back in 1997 when sportswear was just an upcoming & exciting market in the retail industry. The shoes have a special relationship with Japan, with the original ripple pattern inspired by Japanese bullet trains, allowing you to take your style ahead “full-speed.” Through this, they became highly demanded in the Eastern Asian market.
The Nike Air Max 97 returned with a new look on 15th September, 2021, with retro vibes and a color scheme of neon hues, white and hot pink. Colours available in the comfortable, retro shoes are White, Pink, Volt, & Indigo Burst.
Luar’s Spring 2022 collection, Teteo Basico
The S/S 2022 collection opted to be more wearable and commercial, while still paying homage to the designer’s Dominican heritage. Lopez adds distinctive patterns and prints on classic pieces, adorns pearl earrings on his models and creates loungewear out of french silks. The gender-fluid runway featured half-kilts, sweatsuits, boxy jackets, and asymmetrical trousers all adding the perfect amount of city grit and romance. Lopez has managed to figure out how to make clothing that’s wearable but sleek and sexy. Proving that you don’t have to sacrifice form for function ever again!
