Vintage Nike Ads Are Making a Comeback as Puzzles Thanks To Recess Studios
Marketing agency Recess Studios has designed 9 different limited edition puzzle sets that are based on vintage Nike advertisements with images of the puzzles officially revealed on July 1st. The late-70s to mid-80s were some of Nike’s most prolific years and have therefore inspired this collection of puzzles. The puzzle covers have featured iconic Air Max, Dunks, Jordan 1, Air Force 1 ads on them and all sets are going to be numbered. While 6 of them will have only 325 units produced, the remaining 3 will have 1225 units each.
But hold on, before you get all excited, there's a small catch! The puzzles are not for sale, but rather raffled off by various Nike Tier 1 retailers in a partnership with the sneaker brand. Different retailers employed different methods to give customers the chance to own the puzzles.
Undefeated along with Archive DNA organized a quiz and those who managed to get all the questions right would get a chance to participate in the raffle. Oneness, on the other hand, asked their audience to upload a picture in their favourite "BE TRUE TO SCHOOL" dunks and the best pictures would get the puzzles for free. RSVP Gallery, Bait Me, and The Dark Side Initiative are some of the other retailers that were conducting raffles.
However, all the raffles for the puzzles have concluded and the winners should be announced very soon. If you did participate, keep and eye out in the hopes of your name to be announced and if you did unfortunately miss out on the raffle and getting your hands on one of them, watch out for the chance to own one through resellers!
