Ari Vakharia is a 21 year old multitalented creative, hailing from Gujarat, who dabbles in dancing, film making, video designing and much more. As a young child with a flamboyant personality, Vakharia claims he was always drawn to the creative field.

However, his creative desires truly began manifesting around 3 years ago, when he started experimenting with dancer and took up lessons at ‘Paranoid Studios’. The artist claims that the dance crew and studio really helped him hone his abilities as a dancer and explore them way beyond the mundane.

“I saw Paranoid for the first time at an event but I thought they were too cool for me. Dance sessions at the studio soon became the highlight of my day. That’s when my journey as a damcer truly began ."

Currently a full time Dancer and artist, Vakharia discloses that dancing was the first step towards feeling empowered and liberated to live his life as the proud, non-binary individual that he is.

"I became so much more comfortable and confident in my body after I began dancing."

Navigating his way as a fairly new artist and wanting to prove his mettle in the dance domain, after a year of rigorous studio time, working on his personal dance flow, Ari ended up joining the Paranoid Dance Crew and - in the artists own words - "there was no looking back".

The artist also reveals that one of his biggest inspirations to pursue his passion as a full fledged profession has been his dance partner and best friend, Srilakshmi who can be seen in most of Ari’s dance videos. The dance duo’s intuitive synchronisation and carefree moves have made them quite the internet sensation having been featured in music videos for popular artists as well!

"Sri has always been my mentor when it came to my dance . She really pushes me to step out of my comfort zone and explore my movement and stay regular with my dance routines!"

The fiery dancer, who’s claim to rising fame has been the dance cover of Malfnktion and Rakaflacka's track 'Azhagiya' from the album Rajabeats, with Srilakshmi, features the duo popping and locking their way around a lush green backyard in colour co-ordinated funky outfits.

"Shooting the video was basically just another day of us vibing in the backyard and filming it on video . The response to our jam sesh was quite overwhelming. We got so many people appreciating the video and sending us love . It was quite surreal."

Exploring other facets of creative expression, the young artist has a penchant for filmmaking and shoots and directs his own videos. A natural team player, the dancer states his artistic expression thrives best when collaborating with friends and other visionary minds and discloses that there are future plans to collaborate on a few film projects with his dance partner Sri.

"Collaborations are really important in my opinion because of all the exposure and experience you get . I find it really effective as it's easier to churn out ideas when you have someone to discuss and create with ."

Some other plans in the pipeline also include upcoming projects revolving around journaling about his personal growth as an artist and delivering a unique and fresher take on conceptual videos .

"My message to all the young kids out there who're trying to figure out their passion and skill sets is to keep exploring and growing irrespective of how “good/bad” you may think you are. As cliche it may sound, Have passion for your work and believe in yourself."
